Chokladfabriken

Chokladfabriken which just means the Chocolate Factory in Swedish is both a chocolate shop and a café. This is the smaller location in the center but they also have a bigger one on Södermalm where the products are made.
This one has some tables for people to sit down at and enjoy some pieces of chocolate or chocolate cakes and of course hot chocolate. One can of course also have a cup of coffee or tea but when you go here it is chocolate that is the thing.
The small pralines are just awesome and I often like to go for the ones that include some Swedish flavors such as the dark chocolate with lingon berries or sea buck thorn. The best is however to just select a wide variety of different chocolates and find your own favorite. They also make perfect gifts (could be for yourself as well)
The staff here always seem cheerful and happy despite it often being packed with people.

I came with my sister and we split an ice cream with three flavors including tiramisu, kaffeglass, and manjariglass. I asked the guy who worked there what his favorite ice cream flavors were and he recommended the manjariglass which has chocolate chunks from Madagascar and the tiramisu. The manjariglass was good but my sister and I both liked the tiramisu better. My sister wanted the kaffeglass because she likes coffee ice cream but there were chocolate chips in it which she wasn’t expecting.
I’m giving this place five stars because I can’t think of any way that this chocolate shop could be improved. They serve desserts, chocolates, ice cream, and drinks. There’s also a webcam of the kitchen that shows them preparing the chocolates. Prices are very reasonable and the people who work here are some of the nicest strangers I’ve met in Sweden. The shop itself is adorable as well. I’ll have to try the truffles next time because they’re supposed to be good!
