Could this be the most brunch-bang for your buck in Stockholm? Perhaps so! Bönan och Prinsen is the best thing since Mississippi Inn, I’d say. I absolutely adore Mississippi’s brunch, but if you’re looking for something a bit cheaper but still absolutely delish, I highly recommend this cosy little café. It’s tiny but quiet and personal and downright adorable. The mismatched décor is delightfully vintage, with old couches, chairs, random paintings, and tons of colourful fringed ceiling lamps. The staff are super-duper friendly, and always have recommendations. The menu is kind of a hodge-podge — and I love it! Where can you get a takeway Ceasar sald, Thai chicken noodles, or a steak braised in wine sauce? Here! They also recently got an alcohol serving license so you can settle into an old sofa for a drink, too! And the brunch — what a deal! You can build your own breakfast, taking whatever components you want — smoothie, musli and yogurt, pancakes, etc. We ordered pancakes, eggs and bacon, fresh juice, and coffee for two people, and it was just over 250kr. No complaints there! And it was all delicious. You could tell that the eggs were real — they weren’t that fake bright yellow color, they looked like the kind oy make at home — but they were fantastic. The bacon was some special type and way tastier than what I usually pick up at the supermarket. The pancakes were also fantastic and the fresh orange juice, pressed from blood oranges that day, was unbeatable. It’s a bit of a trek to get out there to Kristineberg if you don’t live in the area — but if you’re somewhat nearby and want a cosy intimate dining experience in a relaxed but decadent environment, try it!

Super cozy hipster café serving stews, soups and sandwiches at very reasonable prices, considering Stockholm’s inflated café prices. With décor straight out of a 60s vintage shop, this family owned hideaway is the perfect place to get have a quiet lunch or just grab a coffee.
