Aya Sofya demonstrates a lacking attention to details, with an uneven end result. The cuisine is authentically Anatolian, but the complimentary bread that is offered is not at all. While the fish dishes(e.g. salmon) are well-seasoned and balanced taste wise, lamb dishes tend to be completely plain and utterly uninteresting. Mentions of capers on the menu are unrealistic promises that one shouldn’t lay their hopes on. Even with a restaurant at only half capacity, Aya Sofya’s service can be slow, and attempting to pay a futile task. It all could be great, I think, if the staff cared a tiny bit more.
