I was surprised by the volume of food served by arirang, because it’s quite a lot but the food is definitely flavorful and fresh. Somewhat over priced but the ambiance is that of a private room and they let us stay till the wee hours while we chatted abs chatted. It’s a good place to get some food and hang out, though you’ll have to shell out appx. 300 kr pp for this.

Delicious very korean! The beef I would recommend the most! Superb korean rice. Although a bit pricey 105−120kr!

Delicious(and a bit pricey) korean food! We had bibimbap and samgyupsal(on the picture) and ordrered the namul on the side. The namul set is a bit overrated. Next time I’d go for kimchi as a side in stead.

This is a restaurant for repeat food experiences. For instance, the Bibimbap with Steak Tartare is absolutely amazing. Also, make sure to take a glance at what they’re offering in their store, they have among other things some nice sauces that complements the cooking at home in nice ways.

Arirang offers some of Stockholm’s best bibimbaps. I’m personally a sucker for the one that comes with tartare(which offers a smooth sweet texture compared to the traditional beef serving), but I would happily recommend all of them depending on what mood you’re in… If you go here for lunch — be prepared to come early; if you arrive during peak lunch hours, you _will_have to wait in line.

Nice vegetarian option, the variety of noodles add novelty and flavor to what could’ve easily been a typical asian dish.

This resturaunt has tried to «adapt» to Swedish tastes too much and has very little to offer people who know what Korean food is about. They substitue ingredients for what is cheaper in Sweden. When I lived in Korea, the cafeteria would serve a western breakfast that included coleslaw and jam sandwiches. I think the chefs at Arirang draw from the same inspiration.

Strangely enough, this restaurant gets pretty good reviews by users in Stockholm. It is likely none of these users have been to a real korean restaurant. Service was very slow and inattentive. Very unlike normal korean service. The side dishes(banchan) were sour/stale and frankly terrible. Making matters worse you had to pay for them !. I’ve been to +100 korean restaurants all over the world(korean wife) and have never ever had to pay for banchan(side dishes). They are considered part of the meal just as much as potatoes would not be extra charge when ordering a steak or fish. The starter Squid was spicy but had no taste of squid at all. The main dish Bulgogi was decent and the rice was pretty OK. Total cost 365SEK with a coke. Verdict — Taste: 1⁄5. Display: 3⁄5. Value: 1⁄5(extremely poor) I’ll stay away from trying additional korean restaurants in Sweden as this one gets top marks by locals yet deserves 1⁄5 when comparing to other korean restaurants internationally.

Arirang serves up good Korean food which is really difficult to find in Stockholm. The food will not be as good as Korean restaurants in South Korea or in countries such as the UK, Australia and Japan but it is without a doubt the best Korean food I had in Sweden. The best bet is the Bibimbap which they really master but the Bulgogi is also tasty. The lunch is also good but if you go for lunch make sure to make reservations.
