Small airport close to Pardubice. You will get there from Prague in less than 1.5 hours(mostly highway). I like this place because of a local people and an atmosphere. And it´s a good place to fly for reasonable money. They also provide training to get a pilot license but I guess that tourist flight is gonna be enough for the beginning :-) The whole airport consists of one big building where are something like restaurant, accomodation, some other rooms and air traffic control tower. Than hangar and of course runway. There is also a parking lot right by the main building. The accomodation is very basic one(like some average hostel), but it´s ok and it´s very cheap(I am not sure, but I think it´s like 150 czk per night). The most people go there just for flight and they don´t stand there so it´s not so used anyway. Restaurant is more like a place for refreshment with basic meals(grilled sausages, pickled hermelín, etc.) and with beer and non-alcoholic drinks. But the important think… flying. Man can choose if to try flight in Cessna(common tourist flight — pilot + 3), Zlín(more adrenalin flight, something like acrobatic — pilot + 1) or my favourite glider(pilot + 1). I like glider the most because of that silence up there. No engine, just the noise of wind. And as I said at the beginning, the prices are very reasonable. And it´s better to buy a flight directly from the aiport than through some agency because of the final price. So enjoy it :-)
