This pub has a lot of historic charm, you only have to look at it to see its heritage. But as such does attract rather a lot of tourists. Now York is a very touristy city, but some are much louder than others.
Clearly Ye Olde Starre Inn has no problem getting the punters in, but it’s just not to my taste. A bit too loud, on the pricey side, and very much catering for a certain kind of tourist. Luckily in York you don’t have to walk far to find a top-​notch boozer.
