By far the better of the pubs in Haxby, when i lived there this was certainly our local. The beer is reasonably priced (it is Sam Smiths after all)
At the front is the kind of place you might take your parents for a meal but round the back is where the drinking is done. There was always seating and the locals are friendly.
Even though Haxby is swallowed up by York now The Tiger still maintaines a small village pub feel to it.

Excellent seller of Sam Smith’s beer, friendly atmosphere and an easy way to spend /​waste an afternoon or evening, especially in a summer.
Great staff too, highly recommend.
