Plunkets is my favourite restaurant in York. There’s a great mix of Mexican and traditional UK food, but with a twist. The caramalised orange fajitas are my favourite and show off just how the restaurant tries to be different from typical mexican. They also do very good fish(particularly in a lemon sauce) and a decadent selection of puddings. The wine list is a bit brief, but they do some wonderful cocktails in the upstairs bar and waiting area

My favourite restaurant in York. Does a great mix of traditional english and mexican food, in cosy surroundings. the food is delicious — especially the sizzling fajitas. The black and whote photographs also add something different.

Called here on a Sunday afternoon the menu in the window looked OK so we decided to try it. However it wasn’t up to our expectations, the Lasagna was average pub standard but just OK, the Chicken, Leek and parsley pie I had was not good at all and the nearest it got to a leek must have been a leak from the roof or something the crust was a pre baked pie top so not impressed I would suggest you look elsewhere

I sampled the lunch time special menu at £7.95 for a main course and a drink. The place was nicely done up(the Johnny Depp poster got the thumbs up). Service was quick. The portions were not huge but sufficient for the time of day.
