Not bad coffee at not bad prices. 10/20p cheaper than the chains in London but we are up north now! Flat white was good with a full body flavour however the cup felt quite empty. What I would recommend is their gooey sticky chocolatey brownie which was soooo good! Very rich and glad I was sharing as I don’t think I could have finished a whole one!

Amazing find to pick up gluten free food for the train! Train menu is hit or miss for gluten free options, so I wanted to pick something up before our journey. We dined at the Fillmore and Union for dinner in York and were so impressed with their gluten free options, I was optimistic I would find something at their spot in the train station. I was not disappointed! I picked up a delicious gluten free chicken wrap and a raspberry muffin. They had several baked treats and muffins to choose from. Thank you!

How refreshing to see a place like this that actually gives the public a genuinely healthy option. Lets hope more of these places pop up around the country. Great food and great service.

A fantastic little coffeeshop at the train station that seems to be resetting the norm in terms of having to put up with average places where you can’t go anywhere else(i.e airports, train stations, boats etc) We popped in close to platform 8 at York train station and got a flat white and cappuccino to go — both were really good for a chain and definitely hit the spot in terms of what we were looking for. Smooth, silky and as expected from somewhere more independent. It looks like they’re also big into their healthy food like juices, sandwiches and salads too — I probably could have done with this place being here 5 years ago when I was severely hungover on a stag do at York train station and ended up having to have a Burger King for breakfast… doh!

We popped in for a quick snack and cup of tea, and had a delightful experience. They have tons of delicious gluten free and/or vegan pastries, and a fresh peppermint tea with honey that really hits the spot! Great little place, and I’m so glad we stopped in.

Lovely food but extraordinary prices. Two drinks + two cakes came to over £16!!! Horrific.

Filmore and Union is a breath of fresh air in the good ol’ town of York! We visited this small establishment for a celebratory meal, and it over exceeded our expectations! First off, the service is very friendly and efficient– to the point that when one of our courses was a tiny bit delayed they totally made up with it– customer service check! Now on to the main thing: the food. This place prides itself for serving wholesome grub and good for you snacks. Now before you turn away in panic and reach for the nearest greasy pub menu, let me tell you: you will not be disappointed or left hungry! The food here is absolutely delicious and even though I don’t like over pushing my favourite spots, this place deserves to be known. We ate a pie with feta and pumpkin– delicious! I had a main with fish and sides of fun salads and the boy who I was worried would be left feeling a bit hungry was very impressed and satisfied! Sure we weren’t feeling uncomfortably full(a feeling I try to avoid) but we were both impressed with the quality of the food. The menu like the place is small and select. They do offer take-out as well and their breakfast bagels look yummy. The upstairs seating area is small so I do recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Excited to see a place like this open in town and offer an alternative eating spot that hits the spot just right!
