Wymondham is pretty lucky to have a small independent bakers still, in a time when many are going out of business.
Merv’s is at the top end of Wymondham, so slightly out of the way but well worth stopping by for goodies such as cakes, buns, lunchtime savories plus a good selection of fresh bread.
Opposite the local newsagents so handy for a paper and bread!

This is a bakers at the top end of town. It is quite a small shopa nd gets very busy. They sell freshly made sandwiches, bread, cakes and pastries etc. All of which are made of a high standard and taste fresh. The staff in the shop are very busy, but they are also smart and very friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable. There is parking outside the shop. The only downside is that there are two large steps to get in, so it is tricky with a buggy or as pram and inaccessible for a wheelchair.
