We’ve been coming here for years — since it was a garden and nursery in fact. In those days what is now the café was just a wrecked and forgotten conservatory huddled by the garden wall.
Now it is a beautifully restored café serving very nice food in a lovely tranquil setting. To reach the café you first walk through the little plant nursery and on through the heart of the lovely walled garden.
First up, the service is excellent; friendly, polite staff take your order efficiently and promptly. Our food arrived in prompt time and was really good — my cheese, mushroom and onion quiche was delicious! My wife had a generous latte and a toasted tea cake that she pronounced as really tasty. Can’t fault the food — very, very good.
