We eat here at least a couple of times a month. It’s always rammed on a Sunday afternoon but you can console yourselves in the bar area with a litre of wine for under a tenner.
The George is a carvery style restaurant and the food is always freshly cooked and there is a great choice of meat and vegetables, unlike some of the more excessively priced restaurants and pubs we’ve visited. We have not tried anything off the menu, except for the puddings which are really good.
Staff are friendly and all I can say is, it’s the best tasting and value for money Sunday dinner locally and far better than many others.

they serve yummy food, especially their carvery section, which is very good value for money. you get one helping of meat but then its all you can eat on veg and yorkshire puddings stuffing and gravey. all for about £6!!!
lovely deserts that make you feel like your eyes were bigger than your belly. the staff are generally friendly and helpful.
great if you want a roast but cant be bothered to cook or a ngiht out thats not going to cost a fortune
