Worth a better rating, as it does serve good ale at a fair price. £2.40 for ’49-er is pretty good, I’d say. There is an emphasis on football, they love the Dingles in here, so there’s several tellies with it on. Food is cheap and cheerful, but staff are usually overstretched so serice is slow.

This is the Brewery Tap for Bank’s brewery so expect decent beer with a guest ale. Pub type meals available at reasonable prices. I have always enjoyed what I have ordered. Gets busy on matchdays.
