Excellent value good food, and the drinks are relatively reasonable. The food is very good and portions are generous, the main problem is the tables with TV’s in the wall that can’t be turned off. I don’t want to watch the TV whilst eating!

This place has just re-​opened (July 08) after a total re-​fit. Glad to say it now has 3 real ales served at correct temperature: Greene King Mild (nice & smooth), Abbot Ale (strong) and Old Speckled Hen (strong). It’s now worth a visit with the only negative for me being its policy of allowing children in every room! Reasonably priced meals and good offers such as 2 eat for £8.00 every day.
