This is a very big Pret prominently located in Woking’s central square, and it was extremely busy on all four visits I made there.
It has a couple of entrances, one from the shopping mall and a lower one from the square, and the two levels provide a nice variety of seating options. There is also an upstairs area, although the stairs to this are so discreetly tucked away behind the counter that it is easy to miss them. I only spotted them on my last visit when I managed to find a table right at the bottom of them, so I can’t comment on the upstairs seating. I can only assume that it might be quieter up there.
The staff were cheery although mostly European it seemed, and this did lead to some translational difficulties, particularly when they served me a takeaway Americano with milk when I had specifically requested no milk. I only discovered this after I’d left of course, so that was a wasted coffee, and a three-​star review right there.
