The worst food ever We were a large group of walkers but, although the pub was quite busy on a Sunday evening, we found easily enough space for us all on the lower ground floor. Free WiFi is provided by The Cloud. I took ‘hand carved lamb rump’ for £8.99 on the Sunday club menu. The overcooked and tasteless meat came with roast and mash potatoes, carrots, peas, brussel sprouts, yorkshire pudding and gravy. Reading what I just wrote it looks good but don’t be fooled it is not good at all. Just extremely bland and virtually inedible. Calories are indicated on the menu but I am not sure how reliable this is since for my meal calories on the menu on the table considerably differ from calories on the online menu. As for the temperature, the food was tepid and the place was insufficiently heated, I had to put my fleece back on after 5 minutes there. In summary: to be avoided at all costs.

The food was average, particularly the fish and chips. The restaurant does not allow children in after 9pm, so we had to eat quickly. The restaurant is a great location, across from Windsor Castle, and you can have a view of the restaurant, if you seat yourself appropriately.

Better than average pub fare with a friendly and hustling staff who bring the energy to the dining room. Nice atmosphere and clearly a cut above the average pub. Probably caters to tourists more than locals; nevertheless, it does not disappoint.

This place isn’t as bad as fellow Unilocalers make it out to be! We stopped by after a trip to Windsor castle and ordered 2 fish & chips entrees, a beer, and tea for 23 pounds which is about $ 36. Considering the exchange rate and how much our dollar sucks right now, I thought it was a good deal. The fish and fries were crispy and fresh, though greatly improved with the assorted sauces readily available at our table, and I loved the mashed peas(we have no such thing in the US). Between 3 people we were adequately full splitting the 2 entrees. The beer was a bit tasteless but that’s okay. I don’t know if it was the keg or the beer itself. I finished it anyway. This place was crowded on all three floors when we came in. You order at the bar and then sit down and wait. We didn’t wait too long. I know the Thai establishments on the same street have better reviews than this place but I didn’t travel half way around the world to eat Thai food in England. I enjoyed the fish n chips and the mashed peas(where can I get them state side?!?) and am glad we chose this place.

The food was cold and was very tasteless. Nice staff but would never eat there again. Onion rings were filled with oil and under cooked. French fries were very soggy. The fish and chips were so bad we could not even set it. 80 percent of the food was left on the table. Pass this place up unless they take more pride in their food.

Great ales, great service. And it’s hard to beat looking at a castle while having a pint! Go here! Go to Windsor!

A great big, friendly, ‘Spoons. Not the tidiest. The ladies’ toilets were scary, but a nice and cheap place to pop in for drinks on a day out in Windsor that didn’t break the bank. Fair enough!

We popped in after our tour of the castle. As soon as you walk in it feels like a chain and I recently found that out to be true. Not a bash but I would rather hang at a small pub. The place is huge with two bars; on up and one down. Great selection of ales and lagers. We sat outside since it was so nice out. They have a lot of seats both inside and outside. I think we had a pint or two and then headed back to Marylebone. Just a good place with lots of room and selection.

This place was the usual weatherspoons, although a great view of the castle. The staff were friendly and the service reasonably quick considering it was the 2nd day into half term. The food here is good for a weatherspoons although I prefer to ear at restaurants where fresh food is prepared rather that frozen stuff. There was a TV on the wall upstairs I began watching as top gear was on but the TV would switch off every 30 minutes or so. They cater for children well with a vared children’s menu and also offer colouring crayons with a picture to keep them entertained. Prices of meals are reasonable, I would prefer to have eaten somewhere else if it wasn’t for the kids and a large group of us but this place is definitely great for families.

Great pub on the high street in Windsor that has a view of the Castle upstaris. Been to this pub a few times with my mates before moving on to a club. There is a bar upstairs and downstairs. An overall great pub.
