Marks & Spencer

I was a super fan of this place because it was moments away from our hotel. I could stock up on food here and hoard it away in my hotel fridge for the week. Unfortunately, like most stored in the UK they close early every day of the week. Well, to be fair, us American’s want things to be open all the time. But I had to work long hours during my trips here, so it isn’t actually my fault. Great selection and a nice place to wander if the weather isn’t so great and you just don’t feel like hoping a train into London.

It was very fun to shop here. The clothes were of good quality and well priced but with the exchange rate not in my favor it made no sense to purchase anything. The supermarket portion was very similar to shopping at Kings here in the US (M&S used to own this supermarket chain). The selection of ready made food was great – was able to buy lunch for work and some snacks for my flat. It was Christmastime so I purchased all sorts of candies and cookies for family, friends, and co-​workers – everyone more than enjoyed.

I don’t understand why they still selling the clothes, cos it is total crap. But their food is delicious. Yum. RedRock ICT likes it

Different selection than other MS we frequented so it was a trip well spent.

Marks and Spencer have many different departments which is good so you can get your clothes and food shopping all in one go.
I don’t really like their food range as there’s almost nothing vegan. Everything seems to have free range eggs in and I suppose for most people this is okay as vegans are a minority but many other places do vegan sandwiches and its a shame marks and spencers don’t as its so close to where i work and would be convenient if they did them.
Other than that i would say there prices are average, they do some meal deals however they are more expensive than other places such as boots and for how much their meals cost they are only okay value for money.
I do like their clothes department though. Their mens range is well stocked with variety.
