I had really high hopes for this place as it has an excellent people watching location and looks really smart. The wine list is really extensive too but I struggled to find a good cheap wine. The food was ok but afterwards I felt it was a bit overpriced. Worth a try but I won’t go there again. There is another tapas restaurant in Windsor that is much cheaper.

We took the family out to eat a celebration meal after a competition. The staff was great and the food was good. Definitely would recommend and have told many friends about it. It is a must to eat at for us.

a day after having laser eye surgery and receiving the a-​ok from the clinic, my boyfriend and i came to windsor to celebrate me finally being able to see like a normal human being, and the first real warmth of the year. windsor is a beautiful place to be in the sunshine!
we chose la bodega for lunch based on the fact that we could sit in the sunshine, and i’m extremely pleased that we did. the service was super good, very fast, attentive and friendly — the wait staff by their own admission didn’t speak much english, but i think this added to the charm and flavour of the restaurant. i enjoyed a super nice and chilled dry house white, and my boyfriend a refreshing san miguel. we’re used to london prices, so the cost wasn’t extreme to us, but could be for others. we decided to go for the lunch deal which was two courses for £12.50. you could add on dessert and coffee for a small fee, but we didn’t. i had the calamari for my starter and my boyfriend the spanish omelette — both were very good and decent sized portions. for our main we both went for the sea bream cooked with olive oil and sea salt — it didn’t say on the menu but it came with freshly cooked seasonal vegetables and delicious garlic cooked potatoes. the whole meal was really lovely and more than worth the £12.50 each we paid for it!
i can imagine that it may get quite manic here when they are busy, but it really pleased us and i would definitely return if i was ever in windsor again.
