Hong Kong Restaurant

Surprised there is only a single Unilocal review given how busy this place was. I’m visiting from the US on a training course and a colleague told me this is THE BEST Chinese restaurant in the world! I’m staying at the Heathrow Hilton so made the short trip to Windsor to see if he was right. The food was great. Started with sesame prawn toast which was pretty standard. Followed up with king prawn with green pepper and black bean sauce. Which was fantastic. I am from the UK originally and it is true that Chinese food here is way better than back home in America. In addition I worked in a Chinese restaurant as a kid so the bar for me is high. Hong Kong didn’t disappoint. Best in the world … probably not ;-)

One of the best cheap restaurants in Windsor, but the food has always been excellent and you usually can get a table without needing to book. Full of locals as it is off the beaten track and also does takeaway. The crispy aromatic duck is perfect. If it’s your birthday they have a hilarious routine of bringing out a scoop of ice cream with a candle in it and playing a mildly embarrasing happy birthday song very loudly so everyone knows!!! Great fun, worth a visit.
