Chilli Banana

We quite literally stumbled across this place having searched for «gluten free Wilmslow» and made a speculative phone call.
Initially, we were told that there wasn’t space for our party of 7 but after a minute, the manager was able to squeeze us in.
The welcome was warm and yet still efficient, quickly seated we had menus to choose from and drinks ordered.
Food was delivered promptly and everyone very much enjoyed their delicious meals.
I can only really speak for the Green Thai Curry with chicken which was brilliant, well balanced flavour with spicy heat, complemented by sticky rice in a basket which I was surprised and delighted contained the rice in a bag to open myself. Very novel and very tasty.
Great job by all the waiting staff, little details like attentive separate bar staff who asked if we wanted more drinks at not inappropriately frequent intervals made for a really enjoyable experience.
Child friendly, reasonable pricing but the icing on the cake was the completely separate gluten free menu, designed for coeliac sufferers, we could dine without the nervousness of the possibility of anyone becoming ill. It completely enabled us all to relax and enjoy the evening.

Fantastic food and good service. Reasonably pricey and portion sizes are smaller than the Macclesfield restaurant, although that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
