One of my favourite bars to go to amazing selection of craft ales staff know there stuff and will try there best to find a beer to suite you just a little packed on a friday tho which is understandable but other than that its amazing

Best selection of beers I’ve seen, brilliant atmosphere and the staff really know their stuff. Will even recommend a beer to your taste

Well, who would’ve expected this great little place to pop up in Wigan? Located in the opposite direction to the middle of town, it’s somewhat of a hidden secret; heading in on a Saturday lunchtime, we were surprised to find it relatively empty — especially considering it was Easter weekend! However, this just meant a wider selection of seats and quicker bar service for us…
The space itself isn’t huge, but I am a massive fan of the décor. Train carriage style booths down one edge of the room, with a beer library at the back where you can purchase bottles to take away, and live train times for both North Western and Wallgate, meaning you can see how long you have to drink your pint.
The other half was pleased to be able to order ‘a pint of Pint’ from Marble Brewery, and I went for a cider from their wide selection. Right by a large junction, as well as the train stations, there was little exterior traffic noise and some good music playing in the background.
Only complaint is that there was a bit of a lingering smell, perhaps left over from the Friday night before, but it was off putting when deciding whether to stay for another drink or not.
They hold a number of meet the brewer events, often on weekends (handy) so looking forward to a potential return in the near future.

Really love this bar the staff are very friendly and helpful free WiFi and you can even charged your phone up if you are in a booth the bar very clean they have quiz night every Monday (will have to try that 1 monday night). They have loads of flaver bottles cider and on draft aswell they have 1 beer on draft it a stout it 10.5 per cent volume £7.50 a pint they do bar snacks (pickled eggs/​pork pies/​crisps/​nuts and pop corn

Loving the range of ciders they have. Everyone I’ve tried (about 6. oo err!) has been really lovely. It’s just fantastic not to have Strongbow as the only option. I hear the beer is good too, but I’m not a beer girl.
Décor and the live train time tables is also cool.
The only thing I would say is the music isn’t great.

Situated behind Wigan northwestern train station in the railway arches.
This new bar is a welcoming change from most bars in town which are full of kids & drunks.
On entering the right hand side as 3 booths that look like seats in old steam engine carriages, we’ve never got chance to sit in them yet.
The left has more tables/​stools with departure screens for arrivals and departures for train times of the 2 stations (very handy).
The bar area is situated straight facing and looks like a railway carriage.
The far wall holds a beer library with all the ales sold.
This place is only small and gets extremely busy you may not get through the door ;-)
Staff are amazingly welcoming&friendly!!!
Great range of ales, if you don’t see what you want ask they will try and order it for next time you visit.
A must to visit if you passing through wigan’s stations!
