Tonight was our first visit to the Kismet Indian Restaurant. As it was a special occasion, our daughters 18th birthday, we thought it would be a nice treat for her. We opted for the Friday night special 6 course meal. Item 1 was a popadom with sauces. This was nice. Next was the starter again a choice of 6. We opted for onion bargies and shish kebabs. The main course had choices though the special were all balti dishes. We went for chicken tikka balti and paid the extra for a chicken korma. For desert we had ice cream and coffee. The meal was nice however the service was slow. I requested a pint of larger and a coke after our starter and some 25 minutes later had to ask again as I was still waiting for the drinks I had ordered. The delay between courses was about 20 minutes. We arrived at 6.45pm and left at 9.05pm. Our total bill was £60.45 that is for 4 people. Seating arrangements are a little to close as you feel that you are invading on other diners space however they are in the process of expanding into the property next door and as we are to believe the name will be changing. Overall I would score the restaurant as follows: — Service 4⁄10 Cleanliness 8⁄10 Food 8⁄10 Staff Friendliness 5⁄10 overall would we return for a second visit? no
