Whixall site extremely useful, don’t bother trying to buy a car from Prees, as the guy lives in a dream world. This place is a taxi drivers heaven, as you’ll see on any Sunday!

Very handy although its a shame it isnt a little more organised. The staf were very helpful in helping me find a part for a car i own and will probably need to go back again.

WJ Furbers is the best scrapyard I’ve ever been to. You can have literally hours of fun finding parts and accessories from once-​glam motors now left in their final resting place. Actually, that’s probably not strictly true — their final resting place will be the burgeoning smelting plants of China, and the that’s the of the most impressive things about Furbs — the turnover. In many yards, the same tired old vehicles remain week after week, and even the dogs look bored. At Furbers, you are guaranteed a fast-​changing vista of new wrecks.
Pricing is great, I’ve picked up diesel pumps for £20, wheel with decent tyres for a fiver, etc etc.
It also probably a good place to with your kids, they’ll love exploring, and will learn a lot about road safety…
