Thai Jantra Restaurant

Fantastic food! Came here in a large group and the staff were more than accommodating. We ordered in advance, which made it fun when the food came out as people had forgotten what they’d asked for, but it all worked out. I had a mushroom consommé to start, which I think was about £4, and was fragrant and light and fruity and delicious, but actually had bits of chicken in at the bottom (bonus for me, not if you’re a vegetarian!) then an aubergine and peanut thai curry for £5.50 which was really rich and velvety and tasty.
The décor’s modern, and there are some beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, with what I’d imagine to be traditional Thai artwork around the walls. Really cosy and welcoming too.
I’ll definitely be back again, even if it’s a bit of a drive out of Leeds. Warning for vegetarians though — check when you’re ordering that the dish is suitable for veggies!
