Duets Restaurant

This is by far the best restaurant that I have eaten at in WsM. It is small, as to be expected, but is well decorated. The staff were every welcoming and attentive, even checking on how quickly we wanted each course.
I had the asparagus tips to start and the liver for main– strong marks for presentation & also for taste. The liver was sublime. Those that I ate with enjoyed the sole, the guinea fowl and the pork belly.
Price was fair, especially in comparison to bigger cities & quality. I’d have liked a bigger wine selection, but the bottles were well priced and there was about 1 of everything if searching for a particular type of grape. I will certainly return.

I was expecting quite a find from the review I read.
The restaurant is basically someone front room but its not decorated in a quirky or quaint way its a magnolia front room. It feels like a fasf food joint with 3 courses served in an hour. Not very welcoming atmosphere.
The food came out very quickly and when we requested it was slowed down we were ignored and then it was explained that it was already cooked,
The main problem its very pricey given the location roughly £30 for two course and very little choice wihtout ading a suppliment compared with outer restaurants in worle its very expensive and dated.
I had scallops to start which were cooked well but covered in a cold tastless sauce of cream and wine and loads of garnish. To follow I I had liver and bacon which was served with creamy oven baked potatoes decorated in parsely it was not really ediable. The liver was well cooked but should have been served with mash or new potatos not onion rings they dont work with gravy.
My husband experienced the same his fish was well cooked but twas played with too many ideas.
The place has no atmosphere and to be served 3 course is under an hour is ridicolous. The place is just really dated which is a shame becuase the chef can cook but the recipees are bad.

This is without doubt the best restaurant in Weston.
The food is superb and the service faultless.

Weston doesn’t really have many nice restaurants that I would recommend, so by default more than anything else this is one of the best. That probably doesn’t sound like a resounding endorsement which is unfair, because it’s very good at what it does.
What does it do? Well it serves traditional British dishes with a touch of flair and careful attention to detail. I have eaten here at least a dozen times (usually on a Sunday) and have never been disappointed with either the food or the service.
The staff are very friendly and you can tell they take a lot of pride in their modestly sized restaurant. You’re always made to feel very welcome and the décor and atmosphere help make the experience of eating there are pleasurable one.

4 stars for WSM standards. Service is friendly and hepful, and they want to make sure that you have a pleasant evening. It is clear that the owners care for their customers and enjoy running this restaurant. Try the starter with the chorizo, a knock out dish! Reasonable good choice of wines. I hope that this restauant continues its performance!

This is a restaurant for anyone who enjoys fine dining. I have eaten here many times and on every occasion the food is delicious and the service is outstanding.

lovly food and great customer service. Also it is great for work doo’s and family partys and even wedding partys. I have been here a few times and love the place it is very friendly and welcoming and reall y great food and staff.
