Great tea room with exceptional soups and sandwiches. We had a long country walk and needed to find a place that served some wholesome food for a chilly autumn afternoon.
The soups were excellent, we had the potato and leek (although I would have loved to have tried the chicken if it was available). We shared a soup each and the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. The best bread I’ve had in a long time, freshly cooked that morning!
Wouldn’t bother going anywhere else if your boating from out of town!

Quaint on the outside one might be disappointed by the interior décor which is minimal to say the least. However, the attraction of this place is not how fancy it looks inside: the appeal comes from the lovely warm atmosphere and the delicious home made treats that they serve. I can’t recommend strongly enough their home made chicken soup (and I hate chicken soup as a rule) which genuinely made me understand the appeal of chicken soup and its healing properties. Watching the homebaked cakes rotate on their stand is enough to get anyone to skip straigth to dessert but don’t you will be missing out if you do!
