Went on a busy day in the summer, staff were very helpful and friendly even though there was a very large que, I wasn’t sure what I wanted but they didn’t mind me taking a few moments, me and a friend sat outside, was a lovely day, hoping to go with more friends next summer, and ALOT cheaper than Creams, its worth the walk.

Good honest food while at the beach. They have outdoor seating and do a takeaway if you wish to eat on the beach. Nice homely menu, when we went the special was Pancakes with Ice cream and lemon maple syrup. They do customisable omelette and hot paninis apart from traditional fish and chips or chicken and chips and soups and also have a kids meal. A cheese tomato panini, a portion of pancake with ice cream and an omelette cost us £12 which was not bad. The food was tasty and of good standard. The wait time was not much considering how busy it was. 4 stars only because the staff who took my order was bit indifferent. Recommended if you happen to be this part of the country.

More than just an ice cream parlour, Rossi’s offers a snack menu during the day and is a perfect cure for an over indulgent night before. The Rossi secret recipe ice cream is famous in the town and it’s really difficult to choose between the lemon ice and the classic ’99. Rossi’s is in a great location just down the hill from the Cliff’s Pavilion and has beautiful views of the estuary.

I used to live in Southend in the 70s &80s and was a regular visitor of rossi icecream parlour. Their knicker bocker glories are to die for! I now live in Cornwall and I really miss Rossi icecream which is unique, the lemon sorbet & vanilla together, Mmm. We have Kellys down here and it is not a patch on Rossis rich + creamy ices. I just wish I could get some sent down here. FAB!!!

Going to Rossis is like stepping back in time, it has quite a retro feel to it. You get the feeling that alot of the customers have been going there for years! Once you have tasted the ice cream, you will see why. The vanilla ice cream is definitely the best I have ever tasted and the other flavours aren’t bad either. The food on offer is quite typical of a seaside café but very good all the same. There is a small terrace at the front and a large green area to the side which is great in the summer for sitting on deck chairs with your ice cream!

Great place to stop on a hot summers day and have the biggest ice cream ever! The taste of a Rossi’s is unlike any other being not too sweet or too runny and having the exact right consistency! Well worth a visit! Rossi’s idce cream is also available on local ice-cream vans in the Southend and surrounding areas as well as some shopping outlets.
