Just had a really nice Sunday dinner. Prob the best I have had since moving down south (northern Sunday dinners take some beating). A nice generous portion loads of meat and veg with nice gravy. The family also enjoyed very much. YOU NEED TO BOOK! Quite a few people turned away so book to avoid a waisted journey although nice for a pint outside.

This is a very popular riverside pub. We normally cycle along the Thames path to it and quite a few boats moor up for some food and drink too. The food is not bad. It’s your typical pud food, but I enjoyed it.

The Weir Hotel is a fairly average pub, comfortable and welcoming. It’s a bit of a trek to get there but the reward is a riverside position next to a weir on the River Thames with plenty of outdoor seating for warm summer days.
The bar menu is nothing to write home about but it’s well-​cooked standard British pub fare at a decent price with friendly and efficient service. I’d go here just for the fish and chips which are fresh, crispy and delicious.
