It’s not as good as it used to be. You have to check the menu to make sure you have everything when it comes out as 2 people on our table was meant to have extra onion rings but they didn’t get them until they asked for them and they came out 20 minutes later. My friend had the Mighty Fisherman’s Feast, the cod wasn’t cooked properly and the peas were still frozen. The chicken in my BBQ Bucket was so dry that it was like sandpaper. The starters came out at different times instead of all together. Even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, it still took about half an hour to stand in line to order the food and drinks. The staff weren’t very friendly and it felt like everything was an effort for them to do. The only good thing about the meal was the dessert which was the Giant Oaty Knobbly that was really nice.

4 stars given for value — buy one get one free on main courses. It is a pub restaurant where you choose your meal, go up and order and pay for it and then it is brought to your table. Not had a bad meal here. Very good value and service is fast. Typical pub menu — sausages and mash, burgers, steaks, etc. Value for money food.
