A nice little pub. Conveniently located near the train station. Being visitors to Watford we had no idea where to find good eating places. The pub was clean, the décor was a mixture of traditional English pubs/​odd furniture and some luxe décor. There is quite a bit to choose from on the menu, more than your usual pub meals. This bar service eatery had friendly staff and averagely nice bathrooms. The food was fresh and tasty. What a great find :)

Arrived in Watford Junction way too early for a meeting and decided to grab some food while I waited. A big sign for breakfast caught my eye. The bar is a little dated but very friendly staff. Being a push over for a fry I ordered the breakfast which came with all you can drink coffee or tea. I was expecting the usual rasher and sausage plonked on a plate for the £4.99 I paid. Boy was I surprised. This massive sizzling platter of good emerged. 2 eggs, rashers, sausages, baked beans, tomato, massive mushroom fried diced potato and fried onions with a slice if toast. Wow where to start it was great. I think I might have to make this my morning spot when I am in town. Try it for yourself.

The pub is a big one, with lots of table, a good atmosphere.
At the table, there is a menu with large selection, including drinks. Price are fair, and according to standard of the food and pub in generals. There are even some discounts on drinks.
It is possible to assist to some concert; although I think it is an additional price; or to watch football. There are a couple of small screens. Don’t know if there is a big one for big matches.
Order is at the bar, also to eat something. You may have to wait as there is a queue.
20min after we order, we received our plates at the table. For a Saturday night, it is not too bad. Food quality is alright considered it is a pub. it is absolutely not a gastropub! What do you expect for 6 GBP a meal, 8 with a drink?
To finalize, it is a fair pub

Large pub immediately adjacent to rail station, bit like a worn down Wetherspoons, popular though. Chooce if three real ales all were less than £2.50.

Food and service were OK. Nothing special.

Service quite slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty. I had the steak and cheese sandwich which was ok if you like your food drowned in a sea of BBQ sauce. Side salad consisted of about 3 lettuce leaves. About what I expected given the locale but a little worse. My boyfriend had a burger and curly fries which were admittedly superior to my chips and sandwich.
