It’s a much needed market these days as the highstreet arts and crafts shops have all disappeared. This place sells lots of useful bits and bobs, from canvass to model kits, wedding themed items, glue and scissors. Craft paper and decorative gems, glitter etc. Fairly big store, the only issue I had was taking 15 minutes to check out 3 items. Security tag removal and the four different prices that came up on till causing issues.

Its a HUGE craft centre with everything to offer the artist or creative type but often jhas the exact thing you want missing! My bugbear is the fact there are very little fabric shops in Watford and the range offered here is expensive and poor. Great selection of frames though!

Hobbycraft in Watford is simply enormous. They have huge quantities of things you might need if you are interested in crafts. However, I often find that they don’t stock the things I need which aren’t available freely from most stationers or supermarkets. Which slightly defeats the point of travelling all the way to a craft shop. They have lots of parking as it is in a retail park, and the store is usually clean and pretty tidy considering the size of the place. The staff vary wildly in their knowledge, some are able to give advice on products and give hints and tips, but others seem to know nothing about crafting whatsoever. I prefer the smaller craft shops as I find this quite impersonal, and they won’t order things in for you if you need something that they don’t stock. If you need things that are in stock, they tend to be a bit cheaper than standard craft shops.

This place is awesome! On the retail park next to toys r us and comet etc it has so many trinket type things and little bits and peices — it’s like an old fashioned milliners in many ways but without the fabric. I am not keen on crafts but my kids love it, and can spen ages looking at all the little things. I do find it handy for general household items such as fabric glue and tape to hold up hems etc. I am sure you can get these cheaper elsewhere but I have no idea where to find them! They also ran some classes there a while ago to give people the chance to learn new hobbies wwhich is a really good idea — you have to pop into the store to find out though.

Based near mothercare, B&Q, PC World etc. Very largestore that is open till 8pm weekday evenings. Large varity of items some reasonably priced some alot more expensie so have to be careful. My mother can loose hours in there pottering around. Quality of staff varies but in general all quite good. There is lots of free parking outside the shop so that is an added bonus only problem is that the traffic can be bad around the area depending on what time you go.

Based on the retail park situated close to B&Q and Toys R us. parking on site is easy, but the location on the ring road makes it difficult to access on occasions. Although not the largest branch that theres is(Greenford is bigger) there is everything that you could need if you want to do any type of hobby or arts and craft. The staff are friendly and seem to know what the stuff they sell does. You could definately lose a good few hours in this store.
