Antony Gormley Sculptures

Odds are, if you’ve not heard of Antony Gormley, you’re at least familiar with his work. After all, the Angel of the North near Newcastle is probably the most iconic public art installation in the country.
This year, he’s turned his attention to Edinburgh, with the installment of six life-​size metal figures in and along the Waters of Leith. Spread out from the docks down to Stockbridge, the sculptures are certainly striking, though, as with most contemporary art, whether or not you ultimately like them is a highly subjective matter.
I think they’re awesome, and enhance an already interesting and diverse part of the city, which is why I’ve given them five stars!
