Ristorante Fiume

Food is amazing, service is great! ¹⁰⁄₁₀.

I have been to Fiume a couple of times now and I have been dissapointed both times. The first time the food was nice, but on inspection of the bill it was noted that there were extra items including a dessert and a bottle of wine which we did not purchase. The second time we went the restaurant was very busy and it was crammed and felt claustrophobic. A friend of mine ordered her steak well done, it was sent back twice and still came back bloody. They also forgot the sauce for her steak and promised fresh vegetables as she had been waiting so long. The did bring fresh veg out, but not until she had finished her steak so it was a bit pointless. I had the mushroom risotto which was bland and the rice was not cooked through. Very poor, I do wonder why it seems to be so busy on the weekends. I think some people see it as a ‘trendy’ place to eat, regardless of the quality of the service and the food.

Been to this restaurant many times before. Food is always good and staff polite. Had delicious marinated beef starter and garlic and cream muscles with tagliatelle. Best Italian I have had in a long time, would definitely recommend!

This is a small Italian above a bar in Washington. I went here about a year about and I wasn’t that impressed. It looks quite nice inside and has a nice location next to the river alongside a few other bars and pubs. I got a calzone which seemed to have tinned ham inside. That is the only dish I have had though and I know other people have gone and thought it was quite nice. It’s good for a quite night out as you can wander to the other bars and restaurants after your meal. Parking is a bit difficult if it is busy.

This is a really nice restaraunt and probably the best in Washington.
I’ve never really had a bad meal here and the Happy Hour at lunchtime is good value for money.
The staff are always friendly andits a really pleasant atmosphere.
Fiume has been extended and completely refurbished and it looks really good.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice Italian in and around Washington.
