I went here last weekend. I’ve had a lot of curries in my life but I struggle to think of one that was as good as this. I had bhajis for starter which were cooked to perfection, but it was the main course of Afghan Chicken that really hit the spot. A huge plateful, and utterly fabulous. My friends all had different dishes and were unanimous in their praise.

Just back from another excellent meal at The Spice Lounge — had the Kakra Chat Puri as starter again(yes, I know, I should really try something else) but decided to be more adventurous with the main and had Shahi Chasni — ckicken kebabs in a sweet and sour sauce(no, not like Chinese sweet and sour, more of a mild curry) with fresh herbs and spices. Utterly awesome — recommend soaking up the sauce with a plan or garlic Nan bread, they go really well together. Wife #1 had Chicken Chat for starter(much tastier and more spicy that last time) and Chicken Bhuna which were also both awesome.

I went to this restaurant for my last birthday and it was lovely. I went on the recommendation of a friend and it was well worth it. The food speaks for itself, there was a lot of choice on the menu that typical popular dishes that you would expect to find and more unusual dishes for those who like to try more traditional Indian food. The flavours in the food were gorgeous with none of the grease that you can get at some Indian restaurants. Even though we went just before Christmas and it was very busy the service didn’t suffer. There is a small car park at the back, but you can also park on the street. The prices were very competitive.
