This cute place along the river deserves a visit. If it is a beautiful sunny day you can sit outside and enjoy the river however the setting inside is delightful too and quite spacious. The choice of menu is limited but it tastes delicious. Staff here was friendly and attentive.

Come here for the location, for the table by the water in June. Even during the earlier months this is Southern living at its best. Good burgers and chips, and service is always splendid. Order at the counter, pay and your food is brought to you. Absolutely no take outs, so don’t promise your colleague who stayed behind in the office that you’ll bring him something. Street parking is fairly easy, parking in front of the restaurant is hit or miss. This place is a little farther South East of Poole than I would like. A quick drive out for lunch is worth it if you’re done trying the restaurants in Pool Harbour.

Great Gastro pub right on the Quay in Wareham. The main attraction ofcourse is the outdoor seating overlooking the water. However, the menu was pretty pleasing too. I went for cheese burger and chips. — Not very exciting, but I couldn’t fault it. The portions were big and the service was swift. My friend and I both had icecream with hot chocolate sauce for dessert too, which was great, as it was just starting to get a bit cold out. Its not a cheap place. — Two burgers, a pint of Peroni and a large white wine came to £38, but I ignored that as I was on holiday!;) Sadly there wasn’t much of a drink selection. The only larger on tap was Peroni. The only cider was Stowford Press. I was hoping for some local cider. There was a reasonable wine choice though so I guess they are trying to be more of a restaurant and less of an actual pub. Neverthelsess, eth please was birght and clean and had a buzzing atmosphere.

Loved it, delicious food, superb service. Found it by accident in the Rough Guide to Dorset, but we loved it so much so we came back 2 nights later! Converted former granary, and you can tell the history from it as it’s been well looked after and converted to a restaurant. Run by the same company that makes Badger Beers, and a good selection of those are available, as well as a great wine list.
