Was here a couple of days ago. We were in need of a hot drink to get out of the rain so after a quick look at the castle and a few photos, we went into the Greyhound Inn. It was a really cozy pub with what I will describe as a «comfortable» atmosphere — warm, inviting and decent music playing — Neil Young. We decided on a cream tea — a Dorset cream tea, since we had a Devon on the other day. It was really delicious; very nice cream. If you’ve been to the West Country and haven’t had a cream tea then you really haven’t been to the West Country! We stayed for about an hour just relaxing because it was hard to leave. If ever I get back to Corfe Castle, this will be my pub of choice.

Friends took me to this pub/restaurant a couple of weeks ago for an evening meal and drinks. Firstly you must go here even if it’s just to experience the surroundings at Christmas time, it is really magical at night. The village is decorated with some beautiful lights and there is a wondeful nativity scene just outside the Greyhound. The pub itself is olde worldy from the outside but quite a good mix of old and modern inside. They have a fab specials board and a good range of choices for all tastes on the main menu. Staff were friendly and prices very reasonable. Portion sizes are generous and food was delicious. I’d definitely recommend this pub for a nice meal with family/friends.

This is one of my favourite pubs. Original a coaching Inn, named after the Kings Coachmen. Claimed to be the most photographed pub in England, a backdrop to Corfe Castle. Good food, often with specialities including fish dishes. Very old building. Worth a visit. Live entertainment usuually on a Friday night
