Handy stopover point 2 minutes walk from the train station (to London Waterloo). Staff are very friendly and efficient. We asked for an iron/​ironing board and a hair drier during our stay and both were provided immediately. The iron was a bit sticky and something had previously burnt on, but it was serviceable. Meals can be taken in the Ashley Park Innkeepers Lodge next door. The pub is open until midnight so is a bit noisy, especially as there is a table under some of the bedroom windows. Not rowdy though and the windows, when shut, do reduce the noise significantly. There is no train noise at all. Good value and convenient, just ask for a room at the back for a quieter stay.
