Bowling! Woop! Woop!
Although a little tired looking in the cosmetic/​sticky carpet stakes, the Riverside bowl had very well maintained lanes. And that’s what I look for when bowling.
The staff are friendly but jaded. And the obligatory arcade area was noisy and a little distracting. But hell… I loved the lanes and I managed to get into the mid-​three digit scores without too much effort.
That’s always going to make me smile.
And don’t get me started on puns that I can base around «evenings that involve me slipping two fingers and a thumb into…»

Always good for a night out with friends. The bar and games area is good and the bowling and LASERquest reasonably priced. The guns in LASERquest occasionally don’t work which is annoying.

This little house of fun is located on the New Brighton Promenade. I’ve been here once with a group of young kids to go bowling. I used to rock at bowling. Now I suck, and I partially blame that on the fact that the only times I’ve been bowling in recent years, I have been dragged there against my will.
For a bowling alley, it’s fairly nice. It’s not dirty, and staff are friendly. There is a little café inside as well, and although the food is not fabulous, it’s not bad. I sampled some of the chips. Hot and reasonably fresh tasting. But again, not fabulous.
This would probably make a fun finish to a day spent by the seaside, especially if you have young kids and teens to entertain.

Can only comment on the Bowling at the moment! I’ve been here plenty of times and I can say its been the best bowling I’ve experienced. The layout is great, lots of arcade style games to play such as dance mats, racing games, slot machines, air hockey tables and pool tables. Bowling itself is reasonably priced, with £4.50 per game. Its lanes are state of the art with electronic scoring systems and they glow by night for disco bowling! Hot food and snacks are available day and night from the bowl-​side bar.

Not sure if its still called this as recently refurbished, if you choose the right day and time there are some good deals to bowl, has a bar and a burger bar.
