Captain’s pit is a fish pond near the All Saints Church on Hose Side Road in Liscard Village. If you didn’t know it was there, you certainly wouldn’t come across it. I came across it quite by accident as I was having an explore around the neighbourhood. The water looks really murky, so I don’t think it’s good for wading in or anything like that, but there were several guys there fishing, and the gate was open so I’m fairly certain it’s a public place that all are free to use. It might make a nice place to sit and relax on a warm summer day.
