A good local pub very popular and offers a good pint of lager. they do bed and breakfast i personally have not used that service but i do know it is one of the best public houses on west gate

The elephant is probably one of the most know pubs in wakefield which is probably because it seems like it has been there forever and never been changed both inside and out. Whilst it has a number of different area‘s within the pub it is the main entrance that everyone gathers in. Getting to the bar on a weekend night can be a mission in itself and when you do get there it is another mission getting back to your place without spilling a drink or two. The elephant is probably one of the cheaper for drinks even though it is in the city centre. Worth going if only to try it
