Just flew into London and expecting great Indian food and this place delivers. Great service, great authentic Indiana cuisine. Good prices . Highly recommend it.

I could tell this was going to be a good Indian because when I looked down the menu, there were hardly any curries marked as ‘hot’. What that told me was that Tangawizi concentrates on the flavour of the curry without trying to disguise it with chilli. We started with the meat starter platter and could tell straight away that we were in a great Indian restaurant. The meat was succulent and cooked perfectly. There was a good variety, too, and the portions were so generous, we could probably have stopped eating there and come away feeling like we’d had a nice meal. I had the lamb saagwala curry(spinach-y sauce) and the meat here was also incredibly well cooked. So often curry houses have meat that is overcooked and therefore chewy and tasteless. Tangawizi, on the other hand, clearly know how cook their meat and I’m guessing it’s decent quality if they care about it enough to cook it properly. The prices, particularly for starters, are above average but I think the quality of the food more than makes up for this. My tip would be to order only one curry between two of you, if you’re having the starter platter, because the portions are generous.

A really good Indian in an area where there is a severe lack of Indian restaurants. The staff are friendly unfortunately the service can be hit and miss. Definitely worth a try.
