I really like this place. It’s been done up and has a new food menu. Excellent for lunchtime in the sun in the huge beer garden with slides for the kids.

Great atmosphere for the Lions v Oz game, let down by the food. Fries bowl nearly three pounds, but got less than a small portion of MaccyDs Fries. Full English breakfast came with toast but no butter, we then proceeded to wade through the crowd to get butter from the bar, people were not happy with walking in front of the game.

Nice atmosphere with good mix of clientele. Good sized outside area and child friendly. The beer is of a good standard and there is a large choice.

I like this place. It’s good for watching football, with or without children, has a decent selection of food, lovely beer garden(now with added playground area), nice staff, and the standard Fullers selection of beer. And last time I visited was on a Saturday after a rather excessive evening of drinking on the Friday, but my Guinness still went down very well, which has to be good sign.

This pub has had a good quality refitt and you can tell that they have spent quite a lot of money bringing the pub firmly into the 21st century, whilst retaining it charm — like keeping the real fires. The food here is good — and the portions are generous with the quality a couple of notches above what you would expect.

I have always enjoyed this boozer, thanks mainly to its excellent outdoor smoking area or beer garden as others call it. Anyway, I just gave up smoking and had to brave the indoors bit where the beer comes from. Stumbling around I accidentally fell into Thursdays weekly pub quiz which was hilariously brilliant in a very naffly hilarious post — modern and secretly very enjoyable sort of way. Mind you, not smoking seemed to double my alcohol intake for the evening so maybe my memories are far fruitier than they deserve. Any way — great pub, great staff and for those interested we came third.

This is not exactly my local, but I have found myself there on quite a few Saturday lunchtimes. While from the outside it doesn’t look very large, it is in fact quite capacious. There is a big indoors bar area, a large back seating for food, and a very large outdoor area with a play area for the kids. It manages to be quite clearly some chaps regular while at the same time being extremely friendly for families and newcomers. There are screens everywhere to watch sport, but also plenty of space for a quiet read or a meal. The food is very good — its not Michelin star but is well above some of the dross you can find in any direction from it in Twickenham(and I’ve tried most of them). I would feel comfortable recommending it to my friends and my granny — a really warm and welcoming place.

This pub is my friend’s local. It has a large indoors, with plenty of seating for drinks and eating. There is also a large outdoor area, again with plenty of seating, and there’s also a children’s play area that appears to be quite popular. On a sunny day, this pub, overlooking Twickenham Green, is a busy place. I find the staff and selection of drinks very welcomimg. They always have sport events on the numerous screens, so it’s been handy for the Ashes, new footy season, and of course rugby(Twickenham is the home of England rugby team) Generally a pleasant experience being here, not tried the food recently, but alot of it is home made, and looks rather tasty when being delivered to some other table. There are many lovely pubs down by the riverside in Twickenham, but if your in this area, why not pop in, grab a drink, have a seat in the sun, and watch some cricket being played on the Green. Nice.

With the sudden increase of gastro pub as opposed to the typical old mans pub the food at the blucher has chaged dramatically. Attention is now put into table service and pleasing all customers instead of keeping to bar service. Reasonable prices in a resonable pub.

Has the typical feel of an old-school boozer here, filled with dedicated locals as their pub of choice. It’s quite family focused too with a decent beer garden. Advantages are that it has a large screen for sports, and the place is never full to the point where it feels like your in a rugby scrum.

The Prince Blucher is a typical Fullers Brewery local with consistent service, atmosphere and reasonable food. Although after a recent menu overhaul the food is beginning to lean towards gastro-pub wannabe rather than the typical pub grub, which it was very good at. Big outdoor seating area with picnic tables and gas heaters overlooking Twickenham Green that is great for a long summer lunch/evening.
