Pollaughan Farm

This is without a doubt the most family-​friendly holiday I have ever been on. It’s a small working farm with 4 holiday cottages on site. Each cottage has it’s own private outdoor area, so there’s plenty of space for everyone.
Tim and Valerie, who run the farm, could not be more friendly and accomodating. Every morning at around 9am Tim meets the children (and anyone else that wants to come along) and they go off to feed the lambs, goats, ducks and chickens. All being well, each child is sent home with a freshly collected egg to eat every day!
There are lots of places to go and eat in the neighbouring area, but there’s also plenty to do on site. There’s a giant trampoline, and it’s possible to request outdoor toys for your garden if you’re travelling with young children. Valerie will cook a meal in her AGA and bring it to your cottage at a designated time, on request — we had lamb casserole and crumble and it was better than any five star restaurant!
The cottages are perfect. Tim & Valerie think of everything — they was a cream tea waiting for us on arrival, and there were toys for the children and even age appropriate storybooks on their beds!
You do have to book well in advance because they are understandly incredibly popular.
