Probably the best shop in Trowbridge since it has everything you could ever possibly need including music, electricals, white goods, kitchen accessories, furniture, china, garden goods, travel goods and loads more. If you want something they normally have it!
I remember being a young child visiting this store and now Im older its exactly how I remember it and does have a charmingly interesting 80’s feel about it.
The staff are friendly and are always able to offer advice on a wide variety of subjects.
Unfortunately I have been told the music counter has been removed.
Larger goods can either be delivered or you can drive round the back to pick them up by car.

When you walk into Knees of Trowbridge, you could be forgiven for thinking that you’ve gone through a time warp, into an era where they offer you a cup of tea and a seat while they browse through the goods for you. It’s not quite like that, but all the good ‘old school’ values are still there, augmented by a range of goods that are cutting edge, latest technology.
A massive range of goods, some hard to get elsewhere (a blade for an ancient wood plane for example), polite and mature staff, good value for money.
We should all do our best to support shops like this before they all disappear!

Knees of Trowbridge! A little gem hidden in the very centre that stocks everything you might need for your household (except food!). The store is over several levels and has a real old school feel they sell tapes! The haberdashery on the first floor is extremely good, with a vast selection of material and also ready made items. The kitchen accessories are also well stocked and prices range from very cheap to expensive so you can find something to suit everyone’s budget. The staff are all very friendly and it seems family run with a helpful and welcoming atmoshere, definitely a place to visit for anything you might need.

This really is a strange and magical place — a little bit like the shop in Mr Benn. The standard response to anybody who complains they can’t find something is Have you not gone to Knees yet? It might take some hunting to find what you want, and it might be tucked at the back of a shelf gathering dust, but if you can’t get it anywhere else, you can get it in Knees. If other shops don’t know what you mean when you ask for a ‘thingy’ to replace your ‘wotsit’ the staff in Knees know what you’re talking about. This is a good old-fashioned shop with good old-fashioned service (and lots of old staff!).
