Much nicer
looking Wetherspoons than the other Torquay venue. Older in appearance and
thusly more charming in feel. Serves quite
a few good ales. Avoid at
breakfast if the egg smell makes you feel ill like it does me.

a decent enough Spoons, just on the front by the marina. Excellent value beers (£1.65 for guest beers) and a really interesting range on my visit.

wetherspoon’s/lloyds pub — quite big, three storey, gets busy on friday/​saturday nights. It is a fab place to meet with friends before going to a restaurant or wine-​bar /​gastro-​pub place for food (several nearby).
In the day it tends to be filled with people with no-​where else to go. The beer is cheap, the wine cheaper still, and the food is actually pretty OK for the price. Due to the size of the place, the kitchen may as well be in a different county, so food is often a little less hot than expected, but generally the quality and portion sizes are OK. Overall, good food, low prices. family friendly.
