Forest Tea Room

Imagine your Mum hosting a garden party, in the shed — using ALL the different chairs and chinaware in the house.
…that’s pretty much what the Forest Tea Rooms in Tongwynlais are like, yet in the best possible way.
Located a 100 yards North from the entrance of Castell Coch. This forest hideaway serves a range of hot and cold SNACKS. *Caps necessary to ensure you don’t expect poached eggs and hollandaise sauce (I was hungover and had a craving).
Opt to sit inside near an open fire or outside where there is an abundance of plants and wildlife — there’s even a neighbourhood Peacock!
We had toast for two, coffee and a tea — served by their friendly staff which cost only a few pound. Next time as apposed to driving straight there I would choose to take on the Taff Trail ending at the Forest Tea Rooms as its apparent most use it as a post cycle /​long walk reward.
