Formerly the pub and later the restaurant The Rose Revived, this place has been transformed into one of the finest Bangladeshi/​Indian restaurants in the area.
They do a marvellous takeaway but it’s worth sitting down in the restaurant as it is lovely and the staff are brilliant.
I can heartily recommend the King Prawn Pathia (go Madras hot) and their freshly baked naans are to die for.
Took the kids to the Sunday buffet as an introduction to Indian cuisine. They liked it because they could pick and choose the dishes they liked and go back for more.
I’m really fussy about Indian restaurants as so many are average (or even downright awful) but Spice Lounge has really impressed me and I would thoroughly recommend.
