Was featured in the headlines of the local paper (offering free chips) which is a worry for the local area and the obesity crisis in area.

An excellent place for a meal out: we had a Saturday lunch here about 18 months ago (we were passing through the area) and we would certainly go again.
The décor at this particular Pizza Express branch is particularly good — it was a great place to eat. The customer service was good too, and the food was excellent. Mind you, it nearly always is at Pizza Express: we’ve dined out at various branches a number of times over the years and we’ve never been disappointed. Their philosophy of using good ingredients and educating their customers (especially the children) about food is spot on: they lift pizza above the ‘fast food’ category, which sets them apart from other pizza chains.
So all in all, an excellent chain of restaurants, and in Tonbridge an excellent branch of the chain. Highly recommended.

This is my favourite of all Pizza Express’s. Sometimes it is true that there seem to be more customers than the staff can cope with, but all in all they are very very friendly and welcoming. We’ve often had large parties of 10+ and stayed all afternoon. The staff are great at catering for kids of all ages, easily adapting menu items to suit.
I enjoy sitting at the front, watching the high street world go by.

A bit hit or miss here. We have been quite a few times and have had very different experiences each time. There seem s to be a staffing problem and we have been turned away once because they didn’t have enough staff on. We have been pleased with the service and food, very fresh. If you sit out the back it is lovely and peaceful and you have a nice veiw of the river.
