Great local pub with the best atmosphere on a Friday night. We went for a friends 30th and as we had to drive from London were running late. We put in our food order dead on 9pm through our friends and when we arrived at 9.05 the waitress was so friendly; showed us to our seats, checked we didn’t mind that our food had just gone on etc. 15 minutes later we had our fish and chips and steak and ale pie. Both good hearty pub food — a real plate of quality food. We also ordered cheesecake for dessert which was so good!
