Worth every penny. Run by a local family, 1471 sources really nice local and international goodies. They have a great selection of cheeses and hams, the local Tewkesbury Mustard, and also some yummy olives, but they also do coffee and sandwiches too. Sandwiches are made in front of you, with your choice of bread or baguette, butter or tomato oil, and your choice of salads. They are also competitively priced — I had a similar baguette whilst in Oxford for much more than 1471 charge. The two slightly annoying things about 1471 are firstly that it gets very crowded inside owing to its popularity, but Tim and his staff still greet you with a smile. Secondly, they don’t exhibit at the Tewkesbury Food and Drink festival. But all in all, for the sheer quality of what they sell and serve, 1471 has to be the best deli in town.

Great choice of food tasty and good price. Some very nice locally produced goods. Now serve drinks and snacks which you can enjoy whilst watching the world wizz by outside. Some odd varieties of food and different items which are worth a try. Enjoy

This is probably among the best deli’s I have been to. Run by a husband and wife team passionate about great food. The range of cheeses and meat are simply superb and there is a regular changing coffee of the day available. Their Sandwiches are highly recommended made from the produce they sell in the deli.
